Hamilton and area craft breweries and cider houses are making it easier for customers to support area businesses during the pandemic and safely sip some local beer and cider at home, by offering delivery in all or parts of Hamilton. In some cases, delivery is free.

Check out these eight options for getting suds sent straight to your door.

Clifford Brewing Company in the Stoney Creek area on Nash Road is delivering online orders every Wednesday and Friday. Orders are due by 4 p.m. the day prior. Clifford has earned Canadian Brewing Awards for its Clifford Porter and an Ontario Brewing Award for its Pinball Wizard APA, among other accolades.

Collective Arts Brewery in east Hamilton has a “Doorstep Delivery program” available across Ontario. Items like the Hazy State IPA, the Lunch Money Blonde Ale or the Origin of Darkness Stout are among many selections you can try.

Fairweather Brewing Company in west Hamilton is offering free local shipping ($35+HST minimum order) to postal codes beginning with: L8G, L8H, L8K, L8L, L8M, L8N, L8P, L8R, L8S, L8T, L8V, L8W, L9A, L9B, L9C, L9H, L9K. The shipping cost will be removed at checkout for eligible online orders. Beers are available in 500mL bottles. Try the Pillow Talk: “New world Pils dry-hopped with Motueka,” the Melange: “Aromatic Imperial IPA with low bitterness,” and many others.

Grain & Grit Small Batch Beer in west Hamilton is offering local delivery and shipping within Ontario. All of their beers are special release and quantities are limited. Try the Homebody India Pale Ale or one of their “In The Palms” varieties.

Shawn & Ed Brewing Co. in Dundas provides online ordering, curbside and in-store pickup and home delivery in the Greater Hamilton Area. It offers LagerShed Original, LagerShed Dark, LagerShed Light, BarrelShed Amber and Valley Wheat. Delivery is free for orders over $75 or $10 for smaller orders.

West Avenue Cider House in Flamborough continues to take orders for its fruity sips. Customers can choose from a picnic table pick up at its Freelton location (84 8th Concession Rd. East) or Canada Post delivery for a $15 flat fee. The ‘Bottle Shop’ remains open for takeout purchases Friday to Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m.

Bains Road Cider Company in Dunnville has a great selection of locally-sourced ciders and wines. One of their most popular selections is the Wild Pear Cider, which “would complement a light green salad with almonds, pears, sprinkled with goat cheese and tasty vinaigrette.”

Concession Road Brewing Co. in Jarvis will deliver to anywhere in Haldimand on orders of 12 packs or more. One of the beers they’re featuring right now is their Pa-Nine-Nine-Apple Saison, which they partnered with Twisted Lemon on to produce. “This special brew has a fruity and spicy character from the French Saison yeast complimented by the roasted pineapple, vanilla, nutmeg and lemon to create a very complex but sessionable flavour that will be perfect for the patio.”
