Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre is offering help and hope for those grieving a loss during the holidays.

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 7 to 9 p.m., the centre is hosting the second annual Memorial Gathering at 100 King St. E., Dundas.

Lori Goldblatt, thana doula, life-cycle celebrant, along with Rebecca Orr, thana doula, palliative care PSW and grief and bereavement companion, will guide loved ones through an evening of remembrance.

Karin Schuett, owner and funeral director from Circle of Life, says: “Getting through the holidays can be very difficult for individuals and families who have suffered a loss. Whether the loss is recent or years ago, we find individuals grieve at their own pace so gatherings like this are important to a person’s healing journey.”

Goldblatt and Orr have extensive practical experience in helping bereaved individuals and families. Participants at the Dec. 10 session are invited to bring a picture of a loved one and/or a significant object, to help share memories.

*** As of Nov. 27, organizers report that this event has reached its full capacity.
