Winona Peach Festival arrives this weekend

The 52nd Winona Peach Festival opens Friday, Aug. 23 at 5 p.m. and continues Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Winona Park, 1328 Barton St.

The festival includes the Robertson Amusements’ midway, featuring more than 15 rides, more than 75 arts and crafts vendors, plus 100 commercial vendors, foods served up by 18 festival member organizations, live entertainment, the Peach of a Car Show, a 'Lil Peach Zone for kids and more.

Admission is free, with free shuttles running from Eastgate Square, at 75 Centennial Pkwy. N.

The official festival parking lot is located at Puddicombe Estate Farms, 1468 Highway 8. Parking is free, with a $10 round trip fee for the shuttle service, ($5 for seniors) and children under 13 ride free.

Many surrounding property owners may offer parking for a small fee, but beware parking on the roadside, as special event parking restrictions will be in place.
