Filled with mega-hits, Divas is dazzling and overflowing with wow factor! And there’s a reason for that. A dynamic, creative, talent-laden team led by Angela Broadley, Erin Bree Pierce and Stacey Bishop are working stage magic with 18 of the area’s top female performers.
“Individual commitment to a group effort…that’s what makes a team work,” says Broadley. “Communication, respect, and good old, roll up the sleeves work ethic.”
That’s what this leadership team and their cast bring to every rehearsal. Angela knows about team vision. She’s been a key director/choreographer for several top Theatre Ancaster shows.
“She’s wonderful to work with. Enthusiastic. Intuitive. Knows what she wants. Never quits.”
Those are words from both Bishop and Pierce.
“We’ve been saying for years, that we need to work together on a show and here we are. Our shared vision and work ethic makes it a perfect match,” says Pierce, who is confident this will be reflected in this “masterpiece of a show”
Bishop and Pierce met as part of Theatre Ancaster’s ’s Sing for Me back in 1998.
“I connected with Erin Bree, started to take vocal lessons and this is where my performance bug began” – so much so that Stacey could be found on stage right up to 10 days before giving birth to her son. Stacey then met Angela in 2010, and the rest is history. “We are three very close friends who compliment each other, all bringing different strengths to the table and have been on the same page since day one,” says Bishop.
This trio is powerful and there is no stopping them as they bring Divas in Concert to the Theatre Ancaster stage.
“This cast is singing and dancing their hearts out while mastering vocal layers, that in some songs, are so intricate, I sit back and can’t help but smile and get excited for the audiences,” says Pierce, vocal director for this show.
The respect these three women have for each other and their cast is admirable.
“They make me want to be the very best for them and in turn I believe they feel the same. If the team works hard, the cast feels inspired to do the same,” says Broadley.
These Theatre Ancaster spring shows have continued to grow and evolve each year, wowing audiences time and again.
The countdown to April 5 is on.
