Four local children are being featured in a live-action short film that is part of a partnership between the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hamilton Film Festival.

I Want Candy will be presented with an orchestral accompaniment of Dukas’ The Sorcerers Apprentice during the Marz Homes Family Concert on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at the McIntyre Performing Arts Centre at Mohawk College.

“To pair an original film with a live orchestra is a dream come true,” said Fleet, who has been making movies and composing for film and televising for over 15 years.

The short film is a first for the girls, who taken theatre classes together but have never acted in a film.

Tickets are $10 for children 13 and under nd $20 for adults/seniors, plus applicable taxes and fees. Tickets are available online at hpo.org, by calling 905-526-7756 or in person at the HPO Box Office at Hamilton Place, 10 MacNab St. S.
