Dundas Terry Fox Run goes virtual in 2020

WhatsOn Sep 11, 2020 Dundas Star News

Like other events across the country, the Dundas Terry Fox Run is moving to a virtual format for its 40th anniversary on Sept. 20, in keeping with COVID-19 safety precautions.

Participants are invited to pick their own route, time and social bubble while safely walking, running or biking to raise money for cancer research.

Forty years ago, Terry Fox began his run across Canada in the hopes of raising one dollar per Canadian for cancer research. While he couldn’t complete his run, his Marathon of Hope lives on, with more than $750 million raised in his name to date.

To get involved in this year's virtual event, see terryfox.ca/terryfoxrun/dundas, or visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/dundasterryfoxrun.
