Swell Sharks from Cheer Sport Sharks win gold at international cheerleading competition in England

The Swell Sharks from Cheer Sport Sharks made their gym proud as they took home a first-place finish at the Future Cheer National competition in Bournemouth, U.K.

The Swell Sharks are a special cheerleading team that combines athletes from the three different Sharks cheerleading gyms in Cambridge, Ancaster and Ottawa into one team for an international competition each year. Competing from Ancaster were Jamie Goodburn, Sydney Paterson and Stefanie Franciosa.

Eighteen athletes ranging in age from 12 to 18 years old travelled with head coaches Ali Moffatt and Alana Potter throughout Italy for a week and then competed in England.
