No fireworks in Dundas this Victoria Day weekend

There will be no fireworks lighting up the sky at the Dundas Driving Park this Victoria Day weekend.

The annual fireworks display has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event, which also includes live music and food trucks, is put on by the Dundas Valley Sunrise Rotary Club and City of Hamilton.

Instead, there will be a virtual presentation this weekend. A four-minute video of fireworks will be broadcast on Cable 14 at 9 p.m. May 17.

The fireworks event usually raises about $15,000 every year.
