Police on hunt for suspect following two sexual assaults on Mountain

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they believe is connected to two sexual assaults on the Mountain.

Det. Sgt. David Hennick said the first incident happened in the area of Upper Paradise Road near St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School on June 12 at about 5 p.m. and the second one took place at William Schwenger Park on June 13 at about 1:10 p.m.

In both instances, the suspect approached a lone female from behind and grabbed her buttocks, before fleeing the area, he said.

The suspect is described as black, about 17 to 20 years old, approximately five foot six to five foot nine, with a medium complexion, bumps on his forehead and a thin build. He was wearing a light-coloured hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
