Mountain News’s annual Christmas Lights contest underway

News Nov 15, 2014 Hamilton Mountain News

Do cars stop in front of your home every night to take in the majesty of your Christmas display?

If so, let us know so we can tell others where to go to see an impressive light show.

The most spirited homes in Wards 6, 7 and 8 will be honoured in the annual Mountain News Christmas Lights Tour. But you have to enter the contest — we can’t drive up and down every street; you have to make sure we know about your display.

To enter, email your name, contact phone number and street address, along with a description and photo of your display to editor@hamiltonmountainnews.com. Be sure to also include the hours your display is lit up.

You can find a map of all the homes in the contest and more details on the Mountain News Christmas Lights Tour 2014 page. You can also follow @MtnXmasLights on Twitter for more information.

This year, many participants will be supporting the Warmth Project by hosting a collection bin at their home. Please consider dropping off a new piece of winter outerwear, such as a toque, coat or pair of mittens. Items will be distributed to families in need by Mountain Kidz Klub.
