Police make arrest in Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School break in

A 19-year-old Hamilton man has been charged in connection with a break in and vandalism at Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School last month.

Const. Debbie McGreal-Dinning said a male broke into the school at 145 Magnolia Dr. on Aug. 15. Once inside, he poured paint in the hallways, spray-painted the walls and flooded the bathrooms, causing $96,000 damage.

The police’s break and enter unit conducted an investigation into the incident, which led to the suspect’s arrest.

Held for a bail hearing, he is charged with break and enter and committing mischief over $5,000.
