Brebeuf swimmers medal at OFSAA

For the second consecutive year, Nicole Vespa of St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic Secondary School has earned a medal at the Ontario high school swimming championships.

Vespa finished third on Wednesday in the 100-metre freestyle of the 20-and-under Para multi class. Her time was 2:00.98.

The Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations meet was held at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre and attracted 1,450 swimmers from 285 schools.

Last year, Vespa captured silver in the same category.

Vespa and Chanel Minichini were the two Brebeuf students to win medals this year. On Tuesday, Minichini won a silver medal in the 14-and-under 50-metre butterfly with a time of 32.61 seconds.
