Veteran performer launches Tambourine

News Feb 13, 2014 Ancaster News

Fred Eaglesmith launches his new album, March 20 at Soldaats in Ancaster.

Eaglesmith is a veteran of the music industry and continues to set the standard for independent artists.

His latest work, Tambourine, was recorded live using an eight-track analogue console to capture the entire band playing together in the same room. Created during a month-long session in Vittoria, Ont., Eaglesmith consciously stayed far away from anything that is currently popular in the mainstream music.

The result a combination of Eaglesmith’s craftsmanship in songwriting and a fusion of rock ’n’ roll circa 1966, Motown, and even Tejano influences.
