Hamilton Police nab Ancaster drunk driver with kids in car

A 41-year-old Ancaster man faces a day in court after he was caught driving while impaired on July 14.

Hamilton police spokesperson Catherine Martin said police were alerted to a suspected impaired driver in the area of Garner Road at 7:30 p.m.

Officers located and stopped the vehicle.

The driver, who had his two children in the vehicle, showed signs of being drunk. He was arrested and taken to the police station, where he blew more than the legal booze limit in breathalyzer tests.

The Children’s Aid Society was notified about the incident.
