Cut-a-thon to help child charities

An east Mountain hair stylist is organizing a cut-a-thon to raise money for A Child’s Voice Foundation and Angel Hair for Kids.

The fundraising, hosted by Lisa Johnson, is June 28 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in the gym at Valley Park Recreation Centre, 970 Paramount Dr., Stoney Creek.

A Child’s Voice Foundation is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating and managing programs that provide tangible help and will make a real difference in the lives of financially disadvantaged children in Canada.

Hair cuts will be $10 for those who donate 10 inch lengths of their hair for use in making wigs for cancer patients, or $15 for regular cuts.
