Emerg-Plus president named one of Canada’s top women entrepreneurs

Emerg-Plus Health Care Services is pleased to announce that Tanya Sarakinis, president of Emerg-Plus, has been named to the 2009 PROFIT W 100 ranking of Canada’s Top Women Entrepreneurs.

Sarakinis placed 69th on this prestigious list of accomplished female entrepreneurs. An Ancaster resident, she started Emerg-Plus Health Care Services in June of 2002 and has owned and operated the company in Ontario’s Golden Horseshoe area for the last eight years.

Sarakinis has seen the business grow more than 1000 per cent since opening in 2002.

Emerg-Plus Health Care employs regulated health-care professionals and places them into local hospitals and community settings. It also provides teaching and education to all health-care professionals through various education initiatives.

“It is both an honour and a privilege for Emerg-Plus Health Care Services to be named on the W100 ranking,” says Sarakinis. “We have worked very hard on behalf of the professionals we employ and the hospitals and community agencies that Emerg-Plus serves. It’s gratifying to have that hard work recognized by the PROFIT W100.”

The W100 ranks Canada’s top women entrepreneurs on a composite score based on the size, growth rate and profitability of their businesses.
