Mountain bikers climb to the top of podium

Two Ancaster downhill mountain bikers have made the podium at the first two races of the Ontario Cycling Association's Downhill Mountain Bike Ontario Cup this year. The first race was Sunday, April 24 at Glen Eden Ski hill in Milton.

Scott Tindale, 16, on the Primary/Sram/Trek team placed third in the 17/18 and under age Junior Sport category with a time of one minute 22.051 seconds and Deven Chilton, 15, on the AdrenalineRacer/To Wheels team placed third in the 16 years and under age cadet category with a time of one minute 23.247 seconds The second race took place at the Heights of Horseshoe Ski Resort near Barrie.

Scott placed third with a time of 59.352 and Deven scored a first place finish with a time of 57.972.

There are five races in total throughout the summer with the championship race at Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood in September.
