Harmonized tax, for the most part, makes sense

I won’t be contacting MPP Ted McMeekin to voice my disapproval of the HST.

I believe combining the provincial and federal taxes into one HST is the right thing to do. I don’t think there is ever a good time to introduce a change to taxes, but I do recognize that other political events can cloud the issue. They don’t, however, negate the validity of implementing the HST.

The HST will be more efficient for the government to administer; one department instead of two. My business associates like that it will be easier to account for and I don’t see where it will impact my personal spending markedly. For the most part, it makes sense.
