Cleaning up for spring

The Ancaster Horticultural Society holds its annual spring clean up of the Fieldcote Memorial Park and Museum Gardens.

The event is takes place on Saturday, April 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., rain or shine. The society is looking for volunteers to assist in the preparation of the gardens for spring planting.

Anyone who is interested should arrive at Fieldcote Museum, 64 Sulphur Springs Rd. in Ancaster by 9:30 a.m. and bring what you would normally use for garden cleanup.

Some tools will be made available by the society but extra tools are useful. High school students who are interested in volunteer community service hours may request a letter indicating their contribution.
