Golf cart joyriders sought by police

Hamilton police are looking for several people who went wild with stolen golf carts.On Sept. 30, just after midnight, the suspects stole the carts from the Glancaster Golf and Country Club, 555 Glancaster Rd., police said.Using bolt cutters, the suspects cut the fenced compound containing several motorized golf carts. The suspects removed the carts and drove them is a dangerous manner, causing several thousand dollars in damage to greens, fairways and carts.They were abandoned on Twenty Road, just west of Garth Street.Police are looking for at least five suspects and are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Paul Henderson at 905-546-8937 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
