Give everyone in the city a nice place to play

Re: Make a splash in Ancaster, July 8, The News.

I agree with the author of this letter to the editor.

Ancaster is in need of a splash pad or two. We have some nice parks but they are lacking.

Dundas, Waterdown and Burlington have places for kids to cool off —not just pools. They also have places for tweens/teens to hang out, skateboard and enjoy without getting into trouble.

It’s time to give our kids a place other than the plazas to hang out. Yes, they can all go play in the park, kick the ball around, go to the youth centre or to the Meadowlands.

But a splash pad and skate park added to our parks, especially at the community centre, would give everyone a place to play.
