The Steeltown Symphony presents Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, along with the Emperor concerto, as part of its season opener The concerto features Josh Smiley, a Hamilton native, playing the piano solo.

“This season will be more of the standard classical fare,” said Vicki Loeffler, president of the orchestra.

“However, we will continue to do things in our own unique way. We don’t ever want things to ‘settle’ and become predictable, so always ‘expect the unexpected’ where our concerts are concerned.”

The Germanic Masters concert will be held at 7:30 p. m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, St. Giles United Church, 85 Holton Ave. S. in Hamilton.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students.
