Men’s Slo-Pitch league hosts charity tourney

The Ancaster Men’s Slo-Pitch League hosts its first annual charity tournament during Ancaster Heritage Days, June 12 and 13.

The tournament consists of eight teams from the men’s 19 and over league. Each team will select their own charity which will benefit from the proceeds. The public is invited to watch the tournament and support the charities. Festivities begin with the first pitch at 9 a. m. on Saturday, June 12.

Each team will contribute to a charity of their choice and the tournament’s winning team will receive a bonus cash prize for their charity.

The tournament is held at the Ancaster Community Centre diamonds, also known as Bob Wade Park. Other fundraising events include a 50/50 draw and a home run derby.
