A post-mortem examination will determine the cause of death of a 64 year-old man found in a ditch along Highway 6.

Police closed all accesses to the Highway link on Tuesday afternoon, when the man was discovered with no vital signs near a parked car two kilometers south of Highway 403.

OPP Sargeant Dave Woodford said the man’s body had no signs of trauma. The car was not involved in a collision.

Police were still investigating this week to determine if the man had a medical condition which contributed to his death.

“We don’t know why he was out of the vehicle and we may never know why,” Sgt. Woodford said.

The OPP closed accesses at Book Road and the 403 until 5 p. m. to investigate the incident.
