SPCA makes appeal for Wigglers and Wagglers

The Hamilton-Burlington SPCA is making a last-minute appeal for more participants to take part in the 20th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk-A-Thon.“We really need our friends in the community to step forward and become a part of what has now become a great Hamilton and Burlington tradition for 20 years," said Jacqueline Roth, the local SPCA's vice president and director of development."We’re so excited about the events within the event itself this year and know that the community will respond to this last minute appeal.”This year’s event is set for Sunday at Bayfront Park in Hamilton. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Pledge forms are online now at www.hbspca.com or call 905-574-7722 ext 427.The Wiggle Waggle features dog agility and horse therapy demonstrations. New this year is the “Top Dogs Tent” for those participants who raise $,1000 in pledges. Inside they will be treated to food and drinks and get to meet and greet local celebrities and the media stars.Also at the site is the vendor marketplace featuring the latest in pet products and services. You can also find out your pet's heritage by having its DNA tested, and pet psychic Charlotte Szivak will be on hand to “share the secrets of your pets thoughts.”
