Carl Hall acquitted in Sandbar Tavern murder

News Jun 22, 2012 by Ken Peters Hamilton Spectator

Carl Hall has been acquitted of the first degree murder of Jackie McLean in a Sandbar Hotel apartment.

Ontario Superior Court Justice J.R. Henderson delivered that verdict this morning.

Henderson cited the lack of blood seen on Hall, 37, in the hours after McLean was found murdered on Aug. 20, 2001.

Hall was convicted of McLean's slaying in 2006 but a Ontario Court of Appeal ordered a new trial in 2011.
