“We started Politically Incorrect Pets! because as a family we just were having a hard time finding cool things for our four-legged children,” said Laura.

Right from day one, Laura and Bill felt it was important to support animal-related causes.
Politically Incorrect Pets! donates five per cent of every Canadian website sale to Humane Canada. The business also supports Animal Adoptions of Flamborough, the non-profit organization the couple used to adopt their cat, Charlie.
Charlie holds the title of CFO, or Chief Feline Officer.
Charlie also inspired the name of the business. When Bill and Laura adopted him, Charlie had breathing issues and had lost most of his teeth. As a result, he can’t purr like other cats.
Instead of purring, Charlie tends to stick his tongue out.
“One day, I happened to say to him, ‘That’s not really politically correct, you know,’ said Laura.
From that point onwards, the business became known as Politically Incorrect Pets!
“It’s just a true labour of love,” said Laura. “We love doing it and we love animals.”
