Man busted in connection with multiple vehicle entries on Hamilton Mountain, in Dundas

Police have arrested a 19-year-old Hamilton man in connection with a string of vehicle entries on the central Mountain and in Dundas.

Between April and August, several unlocked vehicles were entered and money, credit cards and personal items stolen.

Police say some of the stolen credit cards and other items were used to commit other crimes.

During the investigation, detectives identified a suspect and on Sept. 4, he was arrested without incident.

The man is facing numerous fraud, theft, possession, possession of stolen credit cards and trespassing-related charges.

Police say the investigation is continuing and additional charges are anticipated.

Drivers are reminded not to leave any valuables or identification in their vehicles, to lock their doors and park in well-lighted and well-travelled areas.
