Mohawk College Enterprise celebrates 50th delivery of Future Ready Leadership program

Mohawk College Enterprise celebrated the 50th delivery of its signature training program, Future Ready Leadership, on Nov. 22.

Over the past six years, the corporate training and consulting provider has delivered this program to almost 850 professionals across Ontario.

“MCE has been an important partner to us,” said Ron McKerlie, president of Mohawk College. “Whether facilitating our own training or connecting us to the industry, we’re very appreciative.”

The participants of the 50th cohort were local steel manufacturer, Taylor Steel which is also celebrating a milestone 50 years in business. The day was celebrated with cake, a visit from Mohawk College president and vice-president academic, and a plaque recognizing Taylor Steel’s success over the past 50 years.

As for the training, the cohorts' 26 participants and vice-president of corporate administration, Mike Coughlan, expressed their appreciation to MCE for helping build their leadership strengths over the years. This is the second delivery of Future Ready Leadership for Taylor Steel in two years.

“We’ve overlooked the relationship between our departments in the past and they have been improved because of the training we’ve received from MCE,” said Mike Coughlan, vice-president of corporate administration, in a brief speech to his team.
