Rygiel Supports for Community Living will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special gala dinner on May 10 at Michelangelo Banquet Centre.

Rygiel, a support organization for people with developmental disabilities and accompanying physical disabilities, was founded in 1967. It operates 40 homes across Hamilton and helps more than 200 people and their families through residential, day and respite services.

The gala will highlight milestone achievements in community living and feature an inspirational keynote talk by CFL football legend and philanthropist Michael “Pinball” Clemons.

Proceeds, including those raised through donations and a silent auction, will help advance Rygiel’s commitment to ensure that every person it supports will have a full and meaningful life.

“We’re thrilled to invite the community to help us honour the people and families we support throughout Hamilton and beyond,” said Donna Marcaccio, executive director of Rygiel Supports for Community Living. “This is a unique opportunity to reflect on the evolution of compassionate care in our city, share amazing success stories, and announce plans for an even brighter future.”

Tickets for the May 10 event are $100 each or $1,000 for a table of 10. See rygiel.ca or call 905-525-4311.
