Dana Smith tapped to represent Port Perry in torch run for the Pam Am Games

SCUGOG -- Businesswoman Dana Smith has been chosen to represent Scugog when the torch run for the Pam Am Games comes through Port Perry on June 8.    

Ms. Smith, the owner of Dana’s Goldsmithing in Port Perry, will be one of 3,000 torch bearers to represent their communities ahead of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games.         

“It would be an honour for me to represent the Scugog Chamber of Commerce, the community of Port Perry and the Township of Scugog by carrying the torch for the Pan Am Toronto 2015,” wrote Ms. Smith, 45, in her submission.

“As a lifelong resident and business owner I have watched this community evolve without losing its close community roots which is a testament to the strength and character of the people here.”    

Metroland Media Group Ltd. is a signature sponsor of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay, presented by President’s Choice and OLG.
