• Aggreko to supply more than 100 generators

Aggreko has been named the Official Temporary Energy Services Supplier for the TORONTO 2015 Pan American/Parapan American Games. Aggreko will supply more than 100 generators totalling more than 50 MW of temporary power that will provide primary and back-up power systems for the Games. Aggreko will also provide temperature control systems for the Athletes’ Village dining facility and more than 30 surrounding venues. This is Aggreko’s third time supporting the Games with its power systems.

• Swim meets scheduled

Two key national meets are coming up to determine the makeup of Canada’s national swimming teams set to compete in the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. The Can-Am Para-Swimming Championships from March 20 to 22 and the Team Canada Trials from April 1 to 4 will be held in the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre in Scarborough. The Can-Am Para-swimming Championships event is free. Tickets are available at the door for the Team Canada Trials.

• 2015 Americas Wheelchair Basketball Challenge

Top wheelchair basketball athletes in the western hemisphere arrive for the 2015 Americas Wheelchair Basketball Challenge March 22 to 26 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Defending Paralympic gold medal winning Canadian Men’s National Team will host Americas zone rivals Argentina, Brazil and the U.S. in the friendly warmup tournament that offers a sneak peak at the top competitors gearing up for the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan Am Games. • 407 ETR supports TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games

407 ETR will support the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games by providing usage of the highway for official Games vehicles. The partnership enables Games-time fleet vehicles and buses carrying athletes, officials and Games family members to arrive at their destinations. “407 ETR is proud to play a role in this prestigious event and to lend its support to the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games,” said Jose Tamariz, president and CEO of 407 ETR Concession Company Limited. “407 ETR continues to relieve traffic on other GTHA roads and highways, and the announcement we have made today will help ensure we continue to do this during the Games.”
