Pan Am Games Torch Relay to stop in Brockville, Gananoque

The Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay will make its way through Leeds and Grenville early this summer.

Community celebrations are planned for city hall in Brockville and town hall in Gananoque on Thursday, July 2 as the torch makes its way west. The route was announced on Tuesday, Feb. 24. More details of the timing of the local celebrations will be confirmed beginning in May, according to a release.

The relay begins on May 30 when the torch lands in Toronto from Mexico. The flame is scheduled to be transported to Thunder Bay the next day. The torch will be in Ottawa for Canada Day festivities before heading south to the St. Lawrence River area. The lighting ceremony in downtown Toronto at the official opening of the games will take place on July 10.
