Easy-Bake Ovens collection on display at Hamilton Toy Museum

The Hamilton Toy Museum has a collection of Easy-Bake Ovens on display for a limited time.

The items are part of the personal collection of Todd Coopee, a Ottawa toy collector and historian.

Coopee is also the author of “Light Bulb Baking: a History of the Easy-Bake Oven.”

Items on display include early ovens from the 1960s, microwave-style ovens from the 1980s, the Queasy-Bake oven (marketed to boys) and the 2014 gender-neutral models that resulted from an online petition.

The Hamilton Toy Museum is located at 1231 Main St. East. It is open most Saturdays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. For the rest of December, it will be open Mondays and Tuesdays from noon until 5 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
