Coldest February of last 35 years for Hamilton

Last month was the coldest February since 1979, reports Environment Canada.

The mean temperature for the month was -9.4 C, about 4.2 degrees below the norm.

With the exception of locations bordering Hudson’s Bay, it was colder than normal across the province, said the national weather bureau.

While it also snowed a lot last month, the snowfall reading for the city did not register as anything unusual.
