Nominations open for Hamilton's World Citizenship Award

Nominations for the World Citizenship Award, which honours Hamiltonians who have made significant contributions towards world peace locally or globally, are being accepted until Sept. 12.

The award is a bronze medallion designed by the renowned artist Elizabeth Holbrook, mounted on a plaque for presentation at an awards reception hosted by the Hamilton Mundialization Committee.

New for this year is a "youth" category.

Guidelines for the World Citizenship Award nomination can be found at mundialization.ca.

Awards will be presented at City Hall in Oct. 8.
