One-stop shopping for health cards, driver’s licences

The Liberal government is promising shorter lines and more efficient service for taxpayers when they get their health cards and driver’s licences at ServiceOntario locations.

Government officials announced recently taxpayers will be able to get their heath cards, driver’s licences and vehicle services in all 300 integrated ServiceOntario centres within the next 18 months.

Heather Kamps from the government services ministry, said by Dec. 10 there will be five ServiceOntario offices in Hamilton offering integrated services. Only one ServiceOntario facility in the city currently provides health cards.

Hamilton has a ServiceOntario centre in the Ellen Fairclough Building at 119 King St. W.. ServiceOntario kiosks are at Lime Ridge Mall, in Eastgate Square and at Jackson Square.
