A team of volunteers from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation were out in full force planting trees at CAMH’s West Queen West hub.

Planters were given an orientation from the Toronto Conservation Authority and then planted 25 trees in Shaw Park, directly across from 80 Workman Way at CAMH Thursday, Sept. 12.

The initiative was part of the fourth annual TD Tree Days events, a volunteer program that allows community members to contribute to a greener environment.

Throughout September and early October, volunteers will plant another 45,000 trees, native to their environment, at more than 140 events across Canada.

Over the last three years, thousands of TD Tree Days volunteers - from Brownies to bankers - have planted more than 80,000 trees in urban environments across Canada.
