Over 65 people of all ages participate in the musical program, including two handbell choirs.

Showcase features diverse musical talents of St. Paul’s

On Friday, March 2 at 7 p.m., the eight musical groups of St. Paul’s United Church combine to present St. Paul’s Musical Showcase, an annual musical revue of secular and religious music.

The diverse program will include folk, rock, nostalgia, jazz, Broadway, classical, gospel, familiar favourites and new music, tones of Peter, Paul, and Mary, Barbra Streisand, Ethel Merman and Irving Berlin. The concert closes with a sing-along.

Over 65 people of all ages participate in the musical program at St. Paul’s, including members of the congregation and the wider community. The groups reflect a diversity of music — two children’s choirs, three adult choirs and two handbell choirs, as well as folk band, percussion, organ, piano and trumpet. New to this year’s concert is the youth group, Emmaus.

All are invited to attend the concert. A freewill offering will be received for the St. Paul’s Operations Fund. A reception follows the musical celebration. St. Paul’s is fully accessible and is located at the corner of Cross and Park Streets in Dundas.
