The Central Ontario Boat Show and Sale opens its doors on Family Day weekend with even more boats, brands, seminars and family activities than ever before.
Visitors can expect to see more than three acres of the province’s top boat brands and accessories in the mariners marketplace. These include family pontoon boats, both glass and tin fishing boats, and an array of big lake cruisers.
For the serious boaters and anglers, a free seminar series touches on everything from the science of boat buying to using navigation systems. Anglers have the opportunity to learn tips of the trade with Leo Stakos and Ron James, stars of the hit TV series Fish TV.
An added feature this year is an indoor lake, filled with trout so families can try their hand at fishing. Aspiring or expert anglers can also expect to be amazed with the range of fishing seminars Another great addition that is guaranteed to entertain the entire family is the fishing simulators that will provide the chance for all to test out their fishing skills with the interactive game.
Returning to the show by popular demand are The Confederation Marine Modellers. Families alike will get a chance to earn their own captain’s license by trying their hand at driving a pint-sized remote-controlled replica of some of the very same boats on the show room floor.
The show runs at The Careport Centre, just off Highway 403. For more information and to purchase discount tickets, visit www.boatshowandsale.com. Tickets are $12 for adults, $9 for seniors, youth $9 and kids under 13 are free.
