Photographer to donate books to charities, children in need

Photographer Mark Zelinski is donating 7,000 copies of his three photography books, Untitled, From the Field and One Small Flame to children in need and charities around the world.

The books feature images from Zelinski’s travels to 70 countries over the last 35 years. He calls them his global family albums.

Zelinski will be at Indigo Books at the Heritage Greene shopping centre, 1783 Stone Church Rd., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2 p.m to 2:45 p.m. for a donation, PowerPoint Presentation and book signing. All book sales support the donations of the books to children`s charities.

Book recipients include schools, orphanages and libraries in  Haiti, Chile, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Togo, Uganda, Ethiopia, India, Nepal, Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia. In Canada, books are being used to aid child abuse prevention, homeless youth, addiction counseling, literacy and crime prevention.
