The Ancaster Rotary Club hopes the end of the penny will mark the beginning of summer fun.
The Rotary Club is encouraging those who attend the Family Day Fun Fair on Monday, Feb. 18 to bring their pennies and donate them to the bin to support the Village Green Spray Pad.
It’s a simple and easy way to participate in the public fund raising that is underway to make the new Ancaster Spray Pad a reality this summer.
“We’ll collect the pennies, turn them in for redemption and then put the money raised into the Spray Pad fund,” said Rotary President Joanna Turchin. “The final details are coming together for the Fun Fair and with the new activities, revised plans and a strong list of volunteers we look forward to hosting a Fun Day for everyone who attends on Family Day.”
A broad range of event sponsors have made it possible to add new activities and features to the Fun Fair, including the showcase activity, Human Hamster Balls.
Mad Science is back with two new activities. Cartoon Bob is returning along with SnowFlake the Clown, Chocolate Tales, Crafts and a new temporary tattoo booth. McMaster’s Willy Dogs will again provide top notch food now with two locations. Many other attractions will be available to entertain the children.
