Film Fest screens Best Picture nominee

On Monday Feb. 10, Ancaster Film Fest screens Nebraska, starring Bruce Dern at 1, 4 and 7:15 p.m at Ancaster Silver City. Doors open at 12:15, 3:15 and 6:15 p.m.

Non-members pay $9 at the matinees and $10 at the evening screening.  All proceeds will go to the Hamilton Out of the Cold program. From the last screenings, $1,400 to the Hprogram.

After receiving a sweepstakes letter in the mail, a cantankerous father (Bruce Dern) thinks he’s struck it rich, and wrangles his son (Will Forte) into taking a road trip to claim the fortune. Beautifully shot in black-and-white across four states, Nebraska tells the stories of family life in the heartland of America.

Ancaster Film Fest is a member of the Toronto International Film Festival’s film circuit, which is dedicated to bringing the best of International and Canadian films to communities across the country.  For more information visit,
