Earth Art, also known as “Ephemeral Art”, is an exciting genre of art that has emerged out of the contemporary world’s growing environmental consciousness. Art is created using natural elements – earth, stone, trees, plants, and even ice, and begin a dialogue with nature. Artists (both international and Canadian) arrive on June 15 to create original earth art installations from materials found on RBG's landscape. The installations will be completed on July 1, and the exhibit will run until October 13, 2014. Visitors will be able to attend a Curator’s presentation night, participate in related arts education programs, and enjoy special evening tours. Regular admission applies. Visit www.rbg.ca/earthart for more information.
