The largest educator charity auction in the province. We raise funds for Kids Help Phone, Womankind Addiction Services (through St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation), Habitat for Humanity (Hamilton Chapter), and the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
Sponsors include VIA Rail Canada, Theatre Aquarius, The Sheraton Hamilton, the Shaw and Stratford Festivals, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Ridge Road Estate Winery, Dundas Valley School of Art, local potters Don Zver and Scott Barnim, Bryan Prince Booksellers, A Passion for Living, many Locke Street merchants and service providers, the Royal Botanical Gardens and A Catered Affair.
There will be around 200 silent and live auctions going on at the event which sees politicians, educators, executive officers, and trustees from the Hamilton and Greater Toronto area and well beyond. The event features a reception and a full dinner service with entertainment.
Tickets are available for sale until November 30 at $40/per person or $280 for a table of eight. Seating is limited. On Wednesday, Dec. 5, the Glanbrook Rangers Jr. C hockey club will host "Jake Hill Night" from 7 to 10 p.m.
The Rangers will honour Jake Hill for six seasons with the team by raising a banner in the arena and making a special presentation at centre ice before their game against the Grimsby Peach Kings.
Dave and Dolly Hill, Jake's parents, and George Hill, Jake's grandfather, have been longtime supporters of the Glanbrook Rangers.
Jake was signed by the Rangers in 2007 by Rob Foster and will finish his final season in 2013 as Captain of the Glanbrook Rangers Jr. C Hockey Club.
Friends and family are all invited out to the Glanbrook Arena (4280 Binbrook Road) to see Jake presented with his well-deserved rewards.
