The Ancaster Fair’s homecraft committee is preparing for a busy schedule of events in the coming weeks.
Scrapbooking and card making enthusiasts will want to attend a crop party hosted by the Ancaster Fair’s homecraft committee on Saturday, Feb. 2. Guests can participate in interactive card making demonstrations while exploring their creative side. Cost is $15 per person and the event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ancaster Fair’s Marritt Hall.
On March 2, the homecraft committee will offer a quilted table runner course at Marritt Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Instructor Ila Swayze will guide participants through the project, which features a tulip-shaped design. A pattern and supply list can be obtained in advance. The course fee is $40.
The homecraft committee’s annual garage sale takes place on March 9 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and vendor spaces are available for $25. The entry fee includes a 10-foot by 10-foot space with a table and chair. Vendors may sell both new and used goods.
On April 9, the homecraft committee hosts its 49th annual spring luncheon and card party. Lunch will consist of roast turkey, ham, salads and homemade pie. Lunch is served at noon, with games of bridge and euchre to follow. Tickets are $15.
