Free ‘ice and snow’ workshop

Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology is offering a free winter workshop about “The Science of Ice and Snow” from Dec. 27 to Dec. 30 from noon to 4 p.m.

Visitors are invited to make a snow decoration or mini snow person, launch a ‘snow ball’ from a trebuchet (a medieval engine of war with a sling for hurling missiles) and participate in sliding contests and ice shuffleboard.  Parental assistance is necessary. Registration is not required.

The museum is located at 900 Woodward Ave. For more information, see or call 905-546-4797.
