For the second year in a row, the Transway Major Atom Girls won gold at the Scarborough Blues Association AAA Basketball Tournament.
This year, many of the top teams in the province, including those from Chatham, Scarborough, York, and Hamilton, traveled to Toronto to compete. The Transway girls played hard and emerged with a 4-0 record over the weekend to claim the gold medal.
As mid-season approaches, the girls hope to continue their wins, and gain momentum heading into provincials in Mississauga at the end of March.
