The Hamilton Transway Atom girls team headed into the 2011-12 basketball season as defending provincial champions.
Adding five new players to the roster, the team has been training together since September and includes players from Ancaster, Dundas, Hamilton and Stoney Creek.
The team is currently undefeated in season play, and hopes to maintain the momentum heading into provincials at the end of March in Brantford.
The girls have claimed gold in all three tournaments they have entered, their latest championship win awarded at the Scarborough Basketball Association Tournament last weekend.
In a couple of weeks, the team will host the 29th Hamilton Transway Girls tournament.
