The Stoney Creek Storm Novice Girls (U10) competed in the Battle of Stoney Creek basketball tournament on Jan 18-20 and won their second GOLD medal of the season.

The girls recorded four wins prior to Sunday’s championship, against the home team,Stoney Creek NYB (25-16), Blessed Sacrament Yellow Jackets (24-4), St. Catharines CYO Rebels (12-10) and the Niagara Thunder (30-0). In thechampionship, St. Catharines CYO Rebels fought hard for the entire game, however, it was the Storm’s defence that put the game away. The Storm improves to 10-1 on the season and will compete on February 1-3, in the ABC MagicTournament in Ancaster.
